Step 4.3 Site Visit by Bidders
The Employer should provide equal opportunity to all the bidders to visit the project site, at the bidders' cost, to familiarise themselves with site conditions and to obtain all relevant information required to prepare their bids. The Employer should make a record of bidders or their representatives visiting the site.
PPR-2007, Chapter 5: Rule 51
51. Visit to Construction Site:
(1) In order to obtain necessary information for preparing bid or concluding procurement contract, a bidder may himself/herself visit or cause his/her personnel or agent to visit the construction site at his/her own expense and risk.
(2) If the Public Entity requires granting permission for the visit of the construction site as under Sub-rule (1), it shall grant such permission.
(3) In order to provide actual information about the construction site, the Public Entity may arrange a visit to the construction site for the bidders prior to the meeting pursuant to Rule 52.
