Step 2: Cadastral Survey and Identification of Land Owner / Title Deed Records
A cadastral map showing the road alignment and bridge location and the area of the land to be acquired shall be prepared during cadastral mapping. And following activities shall be carried out:
- The land records and ownership of deeds is to be reviewed and recorded during cadastral survey.
- The area, from which people will be moved, is to be mapped in detail.
- The detail surveys of all losses incurred by each household, enterprise, or community due to the project is to be conducted.
- The land acquisition and loss of physical assets, as well as loss of income resulting from displacement of household members from employment or income generating resources due to sub- project implementation is to be recorded.
Based
on household listing survey, cadastral survey shall be carried out. For this
task, the project team shall first:
- Collect the cadastral map and mapped-out the project alignment on the cadastral maps;
- Take the marked cadastral maps to the field and mark the alignment, impact boundaries, verify the affected land areas, assets and structures.
- Measure the affected lands at the site. And carry out a field survey in order to identify the land owners from whom those land need to be acquired for the project purpose.
- After finishing the cadastral survey, cadastral survey team shall prepare cadastral report. Refer▬►LAA, section 3 and 4), ▬► ESMF Ch: 7
